Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007038907A1] The invention relates to an articulated chain for a cone pulley continuously variable transmission, comprising a plurality of link plates which are interconnected in an articulated manner by means of pressure pieces and are arranged in a successively perpendicular manner in relation to the longitudinal direction of the articulated chain (2) and in the longitudinal direction of the articulated chain, in such a way that they partially overlap each other. The articulated chain comprises a plurality of different-length pairs of link plates (K, L) arranged in the longitudinal direction of the articulated chain and provided with openings for receiving the pressure pieces. The invention is characterised in that the arrangement of the link plates is provided in the longitudinal direction of the articulated chain in such a way that a short link plate (K) follows a long link plate (L).
