Roller driving unit (1) comprises a transmission (2) with a housing (3), a driveshaft and a central toothed wheel (4) connected to a driven shaft (5) and drive motors (8, 9) connected to a the toothed wheel via a pinion (7). The driven shaft is arranged coaxially to the rotary axle (27) of the roller (10). Preferred Features: Two or more drive motors are connected to the toothed wheel via a pinion. A bearing (18) supports the driven shaft of the transmission and is arranged within or outside of the transmission housing.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Walzenantriebseinheit (1) einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Veredelung einer laufenden Papier,- Karton- oder anderen Faserstoffbahn, mit einem Getriebe (2), umfassend ein Gehäuse (3), ein zentrales Zahnrad (4) sowie eine Abtriebswelle (5), die mit dem zentralen Zahnrad (4) drehfest verbunden ist; - mit wenigstens einem Antriebsmotor (9), der über ein Ritzel (7) mit dem zentralen Zahnrad (4) in Triebverbindung steht; - die Abtriebwelle (5) ist koaxial zur Drehachse des Zylinders (10) angeordnet.
