[origin: WO2006056458A2] The invention relates to a channel whose cross-section (Q) has a contour (13), a) wherein the contour (13) comprises a first linear section (14) "bottom" and at least one second linear section (15) "lower leg", the lower leg (15) and the bottom (14) form an obtuse angle (a) in the channel (7); b) the contour (13) comprises at least a third linear section (16) "top leg", wherein said top leg (16) and lower legs (15) form an angle (ß) in the channel (7); c) wherein the contour (13) comprises at least one fourth linear section (17) "internal leg", wherein said "internal leg" (17) and the top leg (16) form an angle (?); d) and wherein the (a+ß+y) sum of angles formed between the bottom (14) and the lower leg (15), between the lower leg (15) and the top leg (16) and between the top leg (16) and internal leg (17) is equal to or greater than 270°. The use of the inventive channel in a sampling holder for analytical devices is also disclosed.
