[origin: DE202006019490U1] The remote controlled load ring (2) or hook to lift a load has, at its open end, a pivoted catch arm (3). The arm closes the open end of the ring at the point at which the load is carried and can be moved to release the load. The catch arm can have one or more layers (22). The arm can itself form the load receiving section of the ring or hook. The arm bearing (7) can be spaced from its supports (8).
