Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1939459A1] The system has two annular flanges (203, 204) each containing a proximal face (203p) adapted to be integral with one of two tubular members i.e. ferrules (201, 202), and a distal face (203d). Securing members include one pair of jaws (207, 208) connected by a set of tensile members e.g. screws (209), where each jaw is provided for abutting against the proximal face of one of the flanges. One of the jaws includes radial shoulders for forming a positive connection with complementary units in both flanges for a transmission of circumferential stresses between both flanges. An independent claim is also included for an axial compressor case comprising a set of ferrules.
