Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007034320A2] The invention concerns novel platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) complexes associated with amphiphilic polymers for enhancing the physical and chemical in vitro and in vivo stability of the therapeutic protein for pharmaceutical applications. The invention also concerns a method for preparing the PDGF-amphiphilic polymer complex characterized in that it consists in preparing said polymer/PDGF-BB complex in an aqueous medium and in the absence of organic solvent likely to cause denaturation of the protein and the use of said PDGF-amphiphilic polymer complex for preparing a therapeutic wound-healing composition for topically treating ulcers.
