Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007045296A1] The invention relates to a wind-on unit for working stations in two-for-one twisters and ply twisters. Said unit comprises a take-up bobbin with a drive shaft (27, 28) that runs in the longitudinal direction of the machine and a friction roller (14, 15) that is driven by the drive shaft (27, 28) and that causes the wind-on unit to rotate, in addition to a driven advance roller (8, 9) that is positioned upstream of the friction roller (14, 15) in the threadline. In addition to the friction roller (14, 15), the advance roller (8, 9) is also driven by the drive shaft (27, 28) and is mounted on a support element (23, 24). The advance roller (8, 9), together with the support element (23, 24), can be selectively pivoted about a pivoting axis into an operating position or a higher access position. The configuration disclosed in the invention permits a simple, integrated, cost-effective and compact construction for the twister.
