[origin: WO2007033844A1] The invention relates to a roller (10) for a web processing machine, comprising a supporting core (16) which is supported in the region of both ends thereof via a respective bearing (14), and an outer covering (18) whereby the central area thereof (20), when seen in an axial manner, is mounted in a radially fixed manner in relation to the supporting core, and both ends thereof are supported by an additional bearing (22) in a radially displaceable manner in relation to the supporting core. The central plane (26, 28) extends in the radial direction, and the supporting core bearing and also the outer cover bearing are arranged in an axial manner inside the outer cover. The outer cover in the region of both ends thereof can be adjusted, respectively, by an actuator (30) which is arranged inside the outer cover.
