[origin: DE20311306U1] A forging system for workpieces has two robotic support systems (2, 2') to hold the workpiece (10) on opposite sides and with upper and lower press tools to force the workpiece. The robotic arms hold the workpiece during forging, either for repeated forging or with the workpiece moved between forging operations. The position control includes a rotational control. On completion of the forging the workpiece is transferred to the next process, or into a store by one of the robotic arms.
