Abstract (en)

The present invention refers to a wireless multiservice payment system for motor vehicles, particularly for the payment of tolls and other services associated with motor vehicles. It is essentially characterised in that it comprises cellular mobile communications systems (10, 13), of global positioning (11, 14) in a first computerised unit (16) and of short-range microwaves (9, 12) in a second micro-controlled unit (15), these units being part of a module (18) installed on board the motor vehicle which, together with the fixed equipment (7) placed on the toll barriers which starts and ends the communication and a module in a control centre which manages the transactions and geographic data of the georeferenced tolls, makes it possible to carry out the payment collection procedure through an interbanking system. In this way, interoperability among various systems associated with the collection of tolls, parking lots, fuel stations and other services in connection with vehicles is guaranteed.
