[origin: WO2007051553A1] The invention relates to a gardening implement (1) having at least two implement sections (24, 25) which are assigned at least one drive motor and an operating means (5) coupled thereto, in particular a cutting arrangement, and which are connected to one another in a pivotable manner, by means of a pivoting articulation (6), in order for the gardening implement (1) to be utilized in different functional positions. According to the invention, the pivoting articulation (6) is assigned switching means (7) which are configured for switching off and/or blocking the drive motor and/or the operating means (5) as the pivoting articulation (6) is pivoted at least between operating positions of the gardening implement (1).
