[origin: EP1777165A1] The lid for tins has a flange (22) which fits inside a ring around the lip of the tin and a vertical outer wall (18) with a curved top (20) which fits over its outer edge. The lid has a central aperture (24) which is covered by a membrane (14). This can move between two mirror image positions in which it is curved downwards or upwards. An independent claim is included for a method for making the lid.
