[origin: WO2007045795A1] The invention relates to a product resulting from the esterification or transesterification grafting of saturated or unsaturated, linear or branched fatty chains or mixtures of fatty chains containing between 8 and 28 carbon atoms to at least part of the hydroxyl functions of an ulvan-type polysaccharide in acid form or in the form of a mono- or di-valent salt, such as a sodium salt. The invention also relates to the method of preparing the aforementioned product. The invention further relates to the uses of said product, for example as a surfactant.
