[origin: WO2007054319A1] The invention relates to a hydrostatic piston engine (1) having a driveshaft (2) which extends through a cylinder drum unit. In this hydrostatic piston engine, cylinder recesses (18, 19) are arranged in the cylinder drum unit. Rotationally fixedly connected to the driveshaft (2) are pistons (16, 17) which are arranged so as to be moveable in the cylinder recesses (18, 19). The cylinder drum unit is centred on a bearing (32, 32') which is provided on the driveshaft (2). The cylinder drum unit (20, 21) is composed of a cylinder drum (20, 21) having a plurality of cylinder recesses (18, 19) formed therein.
