[origin: WO2007048854A2] Disclosed is a bed system (1) comprising at least one bed element (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) that is composed of spacer fabric, each bed element (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) being embodied in the form of a mattress (10a), a mattress support (10b), a blanket (10c), or a pillow (10d), and an air-conditioning device (11) which encompasses several subassemblies (110, 111, 112, 113) and is used for air-conditioning the at least one bed element (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d). The aim of the invention is to create a bed system which prevents parasites, especially house mites, from breeding or at least significantly reduces the number thereof in such a way that people who suffer from a house dust allergy show no more allergy symptoms. Said aim is achieved by providing an air-conditioning device (11) which is configured and equipped such that the air-conditioning device (11) allows for thermal disinfestation and/or agent-based disinfestation and/or disinfestation by dehumidifying the at least one bed element (10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) against parasites.
