[origin: WO2007048781A1] The invention relates to a tool for machining composite material parts and to a machine tool provided therewith. The inventive tool is provided with a substantially cylindrical main body which comprises a polishing part (1) having a diameter R1 and a main axis (2) and an abrasive part (3) whose diameter R2 is smaller than the diameter R1 (R2<R1) and which is centred with respect to said main axis. In addition, the abrasive part is provided with at least one cutting element (5) on the end (4) thereof enabling the tool to be driven into composite material parts, wherein said cutting element is provided with a cavity embodied in the form of an inverted truncated cone.
