[origin: WO2007045466A1] The fuel tank for vehicles with internal combustion engine, essentially constituted by a hollow body which comprises a first internal section (1) of thermoplastic material, designed to be in contact with the fuel, an intermediate section (2) of composite material and a final external finish section (3) . The intermediate section of composite material is constitued by the superposition of multiple layers formed by portions of sheets preimpregnated with polymeric resin of which the first layer (21) , following on from the internal section of thermoplastic material, is optionally constituted by at least one band of portions of veil type sheets, and the last layer (23) is formed by at least one band of portions of "twill" type or "plain" weave sheets, in carbon fibre.
