An electronic device is arranged to detect a user input associated with a first operation when operating in a first application (302). The electronic device is arranged to define automatically a content item associated with the first operation in the first application as a candidate for use in another application (304-312). The electronic device is arranged to provide the user with a possibility to carry out a second operation associated with the content item for a second application (314-320).
