[origin: EP2351694A1] A carton (8, 108, 208) for packaging articles (A), which carton comprises a top panel (12, 112, 212) hinged to a securing panel (14, 16) about a hinge line (18, 20), some portion of which securing panel is secured, with adhesive (G), in face contacting relation to some portion of the top panel adjacent the hinge line, leaving a remaining portion of the securing panel unsecured to the top panel, which remaining portion may be sufficiently deformed away from the top panel so as to accommodate a laterally protruding upper portion (F) of an article, and thereby to retain that article within the carton.
