Abstract (en)

Provided is an elevator car lighting fixture which enables maintenance work and the replacement of internal equipment to be readily carried out and can readily adapt to space-saving designs. For this purpose, the elevator car lighting fixture comprises a fixed ceiling portion which is provided in the upper part of the cab, a movable ceiling portion whose one end portion adjacent to the fixed ceiling portion can open and close vertically because part of the movable ceiling portion is rotatably supported by the upper par of the cab, an engaging portion provided in one end portion of the movable ceiling portion, and a supporting portion provided in one end portion of the fixed ceiling portion adjacent to the movable ceiling portion. In this supporting portion is provided a protrusion which passes above a gap formed between one end portion of the fixed ceiling portion and one end portion of the movable ceiling portion and protrudes from the fixed ceiling portion side to the movable ceiling portion side. And this protrusion is caused to engage with the engaging portion, whereby one end portion of the movable ceiling portion is held at a predetermined height. The protrusion is constructed so as to be movable along one end portion of the fixed ceiling portion, and the protrusion and the engaging portion are released from an engaged condition by moving this protrusion toward one side.
