Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007059913A1] The invention concerns combing machines having a circular comb. In order for it to be possible to set the working elements of a combing machine of this type or to control their settings, a device is provided, by means of which the combing machine or its circular comb (2) can be moved into defined rotary angle positions. The device comprises a rotary position sensor (9), a selector apparatus (11) for inputting desired rotary angle positions, a comparison apparatus (10) for comparing the desired rotary angle position of the selector apparatus with the actual rotary angle position of the rotary position sensor, and a control apparatus (14) for acting on the drive of the combing machine. In the case of there being a discrepancy between the two values, the comparison apparatus (10) issues an adjusting command to the drive 8 of the combing machine in order to reduce the discrepancy.
