[origin: WO2007057384A2] The invention relates to a sealed, single-row, angular contact ball bearing, characterised in that the seal (25, 40, 47 48, 49, 50) is arranged on both axial ends in the region of the edges (21, 22, 23, 24). A bearing ring (16) comprises a receiving opening (37, 44) on both sides for the sealing lip carrier (26), and the associated other bearing ring (15) comprises a sealing surface (30) on both sides for the sealing lip (29, 55, 56, 57, 58). The edges (21, 22, 23, 24) correspond to each other in such a way that the receiving openings (37, 44) and sealing surfaces (30) are respectively arranged in a plane (38, 39) at the same radial distance from a bearing axis. In this way, the same seal can be used for sealing the angular contact ball bearing on both sides.
