Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007057214A1] The invention relates to a method for cleaning the exhaust gases in heating installations with simultaneous heat recovery, which can be used for all kinds of liquid and solid fuels. The exhaust gas passes a heat exchanger (3; 103; 203; 403) and is subsequently at least partially sent through a perforated guiding element into a chamber (5; 105; 205; 405) with a spraying system (7; 107; 207; 407) for producing finely dispersed drops of water, where the pollutants contained in the exhaust gas are removed by spraying with the finely dispersed drops of water. The perforated guiding element may be pivotably mounted. With preference, the guiding element is an aperture plate (13; 113; 213; 413) or a perforated plate. The pollutants contained in the exhaust gas are removed initially by sprinkling and then by spraying with the finely distributed drops of water. The spraying direction of the finely distributed drops of water differs here from the direction of flow of the exhaust gas emerging from the perforated guiding element. The method may be additionally used for removing the dust deposits. The invention also relates to the device for carrying out the method.
