[origin: DE102005055290B3] A mica-strengthened insulated tubing for electrical contact connections comprises a carrier tube (2) comprising a single- or multi-layer surrounding mica strip (4). The tube is formed as a textile that is plated laced or corded and made of glass or plastic fibers. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) A tube as above in which the carrier tube is a one-piece sealed tube with a cover of poly-urethane, acrylate or silicone; (B) A production process for tubing as above;and (C) A production process for an electrical machine comprising the above.
