[origin: EP1952948A2] The joining clamp has two press jaws (1, 2) adjustable relatively to each other, where one of the press jaws is adjustable from a closing position into an opening position. The jaws are articulately connected with each other by a spice plate (11). A connector (39) for a drive unit is provided in the spice plate. The connector lies in the area between joint axes of the spice plate. The spice plate is provided with a notch at its edge.
