[origin: EP1952950A2] The tool (1) has a housing (2) and a pneumatic spring hammer mechanism (3) with a striker bolt (4) that strikes an anvil (5), at least one vibration damper (6) with a swinging damping mass (7) that is axially biased towards the housing by at least one spring (8a,8b). The vibration damper can be actively stimulated by the anvil in the working position via an axially displaceable stimulation arrangement (9).
