Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1952975A1] The press has a piston (19) including a circular piston surface (25) provided opposite to another circular piston surface (26) at a piston rod side. Piston cylinder units (17) are arranged in a press frame (4) such that a vertical force provided by an upper punch and acting on a mold (1) is supported by the surface (25), during a press process. A retention force is exerted on the mold and applied over the surface (26), after the press process. The press frame has a base plate (6) and an upper plate (7).
