[origin: EP1953298A2] The handle (1) and head (2) of the shower handpiece, are connected to each other by an adapter (3). Dimensions of components through which water flows, remain constant for differing geometric forms of the handpiece; in each case the adapter matches the handle and head. The adapter, head and handle interlock or snap together. Spacers (13, 14) are provided on one or more of the handpiece components, for an outer shell.
