Abstract (en)
An air conditioner is disclosed. The present invention is suitable for performing efficient heat exchange of indoor air in a manner that a front panel covering a whole front side of a front frame by moving back and forth opens/closes a plurality of inlets passages, blowing the heat-exchanged air upward and downward by reducing passage resistance, and providing an elegant exterior of the air conditioner. The present invention includes an inlet passage opened/closed by a plurality of moving front panels to suck an air from a front, the inlet passage diverging to a space between a plurality of the front panels, a heat-exchange passage provided within a case having a heat exchanger and a blowing fan therein to perform heat exchange on the air introduced via the inlet passage, and an outlet passage blowing the heat-exchanged air in an upper and/or lower direction.
