Abstract (en)
The device has a measuring unit (M1) e.g. sensing wheel, detecting a printed product leading edge (3) transversely directed in a conveying direction of an imbricated stream (S), and an evaluating unit receives signals of the measuring unit for counting printed products (1) e.g. newspapers. Another measuring unit e.g. mechanical scanning wheel, determines a property of the stream that deviates from the printed product edges of the stream, where a counting result of the former measuring unit is correctable by using a measuring result of the latter measuring unit through an evaluating unit.

Bei einer Vorrichtung zum Zählen von Druckprodukten (1) eines Schuppenstroms (S), bestehend aus einem ersten Messmittel (M1) zum Erfassen einer quer zur Förderrichtung des Schuppenstroms (S) gerichteten Druckproduktekante (3) und einer Auswerteinheit (A), welche zum Zählen der Druckprodukte (1) Signale des ersten Messmittels (M1) empfängt, ist ein zweites Messmittel (M2) vorgesehen, das eine von der Druckproduktekante abweichende Eigenschaft des Schuppenstroms (S) erfasst. Das Zählergebnis des ersten Messmittels (M1) ist mit einem Messergebnis des zweiten Messmittels (M2) durch die Auswerteinheit (A) korrigierbar.
