[origin: WO2007059747A1] The invention relates to a connection piece which is used to connect a torque transmitting connection component (2) to a hollow shaft (1). Said connection piece (2) comprises a continuous recess which has a shape which corresponds to the outer cross-section of the hollow shaft (1) and which is used to receive the hollow shaft (1). According to the invention, the connection piece is characterised in that the hollow shaft (1) comprises a press stopper (8) in the connection area between the hollow shaft (1) and the connection component (2). Said press stopper (8) forms, at least sectionally, a press fit with the wall of the hollow shaft (1).The inventive connection piece enables the transmission of comparatively high torque during the entire service life thereof. The invention is also compatible with thin-walled, light-weight hollow shafts. The inventive connection piece limits production costs, mounting and maintenance.
