[origin: WO2007062690A1] Wooden cask (1) for the storing and ageing of wines and other drinks, comprising six panels (10, 11) having approximately planar outer faces, joined in such a way as to define an internal storage volume (19). At least some panels (10, 1) are joined by means of cross-bars bearing on at least the outer faces of at least four panels, in such a way as to provide a force, directed towards said internal volume, on said faces. At least two cross-bars (14, 16) bearing on two adjacent panels (10, 11) are joined together by means of a bolt (140) exerting a force tending to draw said cross-bars together in an oblique direction relative to the panels (10, 11).
