[origin: EP1955788A2] The component has two individual parts (1, 2) including vertical sections (4, 4'), where the component has a height that is changeable over a longitudinal axis of the component. The individual parts are connected with each other by laser welding. Each individual part has a breadth that is changeable over a longitudinal axis of the part. The individual parts are sectioned at inner edges (6, 6 ') of the parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component using a roll forming component.
