Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1955818A2] A power tool, e.g. a power drill or a power screwdriver, has an improved spindle clamp positioned axially between the drive gear (18) and the spindle (22). The clamping elements are fitted between the gear and a thrust plate (33) on the spindle and enable the spindle to have some degree of axial movement without loosing thrust and with a reduction in friction.
