The power tool has a striking mechanism (20) driven by a motor, moving the activating element (22) reciprocally in its guide tube (21). The striker piston (23) is driven by an air spring (25) via the activating element, and acts on the riveting die (24), by which the air spring is switched on and off. This is done directly via the die.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Handwerkzeugmaschine mit einem über einen Motor antreibbaren pneumatischem Schlagwerk (20), das einen in einem Führungsrohr (21) hin und her bewegbaren Erregerelement (22), einen in dem Führungsrohr (21) versetzbar geführten und mittels einer Luftfeder (25) über das Erregerelement (22) antreibbaren Schlagkolben (23) aufweist, der auf einen Döpper (24) einwirkt, wobei die Luftfeder (25) an- und abschaltbar ist. Zur Verbesserung einer derartigen Handwerkzeugmaschine ist die Luftfeder (25) direkt über den Döpper (24) an- und abschaltbar.
