Pressing roller comprises a casing (1) rotating about a one-piece axle (2) having a characteristic frequency across the pressing direction (6) which lies below the characteristic frequency of the axle in the pressing direction. A reinforcing element is fixed to the axle to raise the strength of the axle across the pressing direction. An independent claim is also included for a pressing arrangement with the above pressing roller. Preferred Features: The frequency of the pressing gap sweeps of the casing during operation is at least 30% smaller than the characteristic frequency of the axle in the pressing direction. The axle has a double T-profile and is made from steel.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Presswalze zur Behandlung einer Papier-, Karton-, Tissue- oder einer anderen Faserstoffbahn (5) in einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Veredlung derselben, mit einem, um eine feststehende, vorzugsweise einstückige Achse (2) rotierbaren Walzenmantel (1), welcher von einer Stützeinrichtung (3) der Achse (2) zur Bildung eines Pressspaltes in Richtung (Pressrichtung 6) eines Gegendruckelementes gedrückt wird, wobei die Frequenz der Pressspaltdurchläufe des Walzenmantels (1) unter der Eigenfrequenz der Achse (2) in Pressrichtung (6) liegt. Dabei soll das Gewicht der Achse (2) bei Gewährleistung der erforderlichen Belastbarkeit und Schwingungsstabilität dadurch minimiert werden, dass die Eigenfrequenz der Achse (2) quer zur Pressrichtung (6) unter der Eigenfrequenz der Achse (2) in Pressrichtung (6) liegt und an der Achse (2) wenigstens ein Versteifungselement (8) befestigt ist, welches die Steifigkeit der Achse (2) quer zur Pressrichtung (6) erhöht.
