The device has a light unit (2) and a fastening unit (5) arranged above a cooling and/or freezing part at a front side on a cross-link, where the fastening unit is made of metal. The fastening unit for an illuminant (6) e.g. LED, of the light unit is made of heat conducting material and is heat-conductively connected with a heat conductive unit of the cross-link, so that heat is dissipated from the light unit over the fastening unit and the heat conductive unit of the cross-link. The conducting unit and the fastening unit are heat-conductively connected by a heat conductive paste.

Kühl- und/oder Gefriergerät mit einer auf einer Querverbindung (1) frontseitig oberhalb des Kühl- und/oder Gefrierteils angeordneten Leuchteneinheit (2), welche Leuchtmittel (6) und ein Befestigungselement (5) aufweist, wobei die Querverbindung (1) ein gut wärmeleitendes Element aufweist und das Befestigungselement (5) für die Leuchtmittel (6) der Leuchteneinheit (2) ebenfalls aus einem gut wärmeleitendem Material besteht und mit dem gut wärmeleitenden Element der Querverbindung wärmeleitend in Verbindung steht, so dass Wärme von den Leuchtmitteln (6) über Befestigungselement (5) und das gut wärmeleitende Element der Querverbindung (1) abgeleitet wird.
