[origin: WO2007062912A1] The invention relates to a method for installing a built-in device (2), in particular a kitchen device, in a unit niche (3) of a unit wall (4). Said built-in device (2) comprises a device front side (5) and a unit wall (4) comprising a unit front surface (6). Said method consists of the following steps: (S1) at least one adjusting device (1) is secured to the built-in device (2) in such a manner that an adjusting edge (7) of the adjusting device (1) protrudes over the front side of the device (5), (S2) the built-in device (2) is inserted (2) into the furniture niche (3) until the adjusting edge (7) is aligned with the front surface of the unit (6), (S3) the built-in device (2) is secured to the unit niche (3). The invention also relates to an adjusting tool (1) which is adapted, particularly, for carrying out said inventive method. A problem-free, reliable, rapid and precise alignment of the-built-in device (2) in the unit niche is possible due to said inventive method and to the inventive adjusting device (1).
