Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102005056873A1] The device has a housing comprising front and rear walls (2, 3), and a sight opening (5) provided for viewing an object. The walls are connected with one another along two opposite connection lines (7, 8). A break line (9) is provided in the front wall, such that the housing forms a side wall when a viewing position between one connection line and the break line is achieved. A covering unit (11) is fastened to the wall area of the front wall and pivotable from a closed position, in which the front wall is partially covered, to an opened position, in which the side wall is raised. An independent claim is also included for a book-like arrangement of several viewing devices that are connected with one another.
