[origin: WO2006136200A1] The invention relates to a special profiled element for light-weight fan/filter modules which are used for creating local clean rooms featuring defined environmental conditions by generating a decontaminated, low-turbulence displacement flow and are to be used in clean room ceilings with the aid of prefabricated particulate filter inserts. The profiled element, which forms the sidewalls of said module, is provided with a flat, planar base. Several webs extend in one and the same direction from the surface of the profiled element, respectively. A first and a second web are embodied as outer webs that are arranged in the peripheral region of the longitudinal edges of the base. An inner web is also provided which closely adjoins the first outer web, the webs extending substantially parallel to each other. The opposite internal faces of the first outer web and the inner web comprise fastening surfaces or a fastening structure in order to fix the prefabricated filter insert. The external faces of the outer webs, or at least the external faces of the outer web used for attaching a cover plate of the module, are provided with a recess for accommodating a seal. A narrow groove for expansion screws or similar fastening means is located in the second outer web, said narrow groove running essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the flat, planar base. The recess for accommodating the seal in the second outer web extends from the plane of the base and is disposed behind the narrow groove for the expansion screws.
