A casting plant for carrying out the method has a mould (1, 51) which is pivotably mounted about a first rotation axis (4) and a container (2) which is pivotably mounted about a second rotation axis (23). In order to enable the mould (1, 51) to be moved over the container (2), provision is made for the mould (1, 51) to be movably mounted in a second direction of movement.
