[origin: WO2007063229A1] The invention relates to an assembly (10) for manually grinding a face (14) of a motor vehicle body part (12), comprising grinding means (30), a moving carriage (32) supporting said grinding means (30), and means (34) for guiding the carriage (32) moving along the face (14) to be ground, characterized in that the assembly (10) comprises a support guide (18) which is held in position with respect to the body part (12) to be ground, and in that the support guide (18) has at least one guide face (20) on which there is able to bear at least a first part of the means (34) for guiding the moving carriage (32).
