Abstract (en)
[origin: FR2893902A1] The part (18) has a supporting unit for supporting an optical block, and another supporting unit (22) for supporting a front mudguard covering the block. The supporting units have an initial operating configuration in which the block and the mudguard are maintained at operating height on the vehicle, respectively. The units have depressing configuration in which the block and the mudguard are located at a height less than the former height on the vehicle when the units are subjected to a partial vertical force equal to that of an impact of a pedestrian`s head. An independent claim is also included for an optical block and part assembly.
