In order to guarantee a high degree of safety and simplify the use, the concrete safety barrier element, in the operating position thereof, comprises at least one vertical guid groove (22) which is embodied on at least one surface thereof (21) for a damping element (4), is provided with lateral limit stops (23) for said damping element (4) and is constructed in such a way that the damping element (4) is enabled to be inserted from the top.
