Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1793164A1] The tube (10) has an insert (22) arranged in an inner space of the tube for forming an inner profile. The insert has a set of wires (24) which are spirally wound along a tube inner wall (26) in the form of multi-start windings. A lead angle of the wires opposite to a reference plane oriented perpendicular to a tube axis amounts between 30 and of 70 degrees. The wires lying on the inner wall are connected with one another by radial reinforcement rods and/or with a middle wire that is running along the tube axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing steam generator tubes with an inner profile.
