Abstract (en)
The press roller has a flexible roller cover (1) pressed by a press shoe (2) with a concave press surface for formation of a press gap in a direction of an impression roller. The press shoe has outer, central and inner layers (3, 4, 5) lying one upon the other in a press direction. The central layer has an increased compressibility and a modulus of elasticity of 5-50 MPa. The outer and inner layers are made of steel. The central layer is made of a compressible material i.e. plastic. The press shoe is pressed to the impression roller by a hydraulic pressing piston (6).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Presswalze zur Glättung oder Entwässerung einer Papier-, Karton-, Tissue- oder einer anderen Faserstoffbahn in einer Maschine zur Herstellung und/oder Veredlung derselben mit einem flexiblen Walzenmantel (1), der von einem Pressschuh (2) mit konkaver Pressfläche zur Bildung eines Pressspaltes in Richtung einer Gegenwalze (9) gedrückt wird. Dabei soll die Flexibilität des Pressschuhs (2) am Rand bei möglichst geringer Welligkeit des Liniendrucks dadurch erhöht werden, dass der Pressschuh (2) aus wenigstens 3 in Pressrichtung übereinander liegenden Schichten (3,4,5) besteht, von denen die mittlere Schicht (4) eine erhöhte Kompressibilität aufweist und aus einem Kunststoff besteht, dessen E-Modul zwischen 5 und 50 MPa liegt.
