[origin: WO2007065192A1] An inkjet printer (100) comprising: a media supply (412); and a gripless driven roller (452) and an idler roller (450) arranged, in use, to take up the media therebetween from the media supply (412) and feed it past a printhead (200) having a plurality of ink ejection nozzles arranged to print on the media as it is fed past the nozzles, the driven roller (452) being rotatably driven so as to impart translational motion to the media upon contact with the media, wherein a contact surface of the gripless driven roller (452) which contacts the media is substantially plain.
