Abstract (en)
The method involves extracting fuel from a fuel tank and introducing in evaporated form into the exhaust gas. The volatile ingredients of the fuel are distilled off and are introduced into the exhaust gas system. The non-volatile ingredients of the fuel remain in the fuel tank or reaches back in the fuel tank. The fuel is diesel oil. An independent claim is also included for the device for heating catalytic exhaust gas.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur katalytischen Abgaserwärmung, wobei Treibstoff in den Abgasstrang eines Motors eingedüst und über einen Oxidationskatalysator verbrannt wird. Kennzeichnend für das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren ist, dass nur die leichtflüchtigen Inhaltsstoffe des Treibstoffs in den Abgasstrang eingedüst werden. Diese werden mittels Destillation von den schwerflüchtigen Inhaltsstoffen des Treibstoffs abgetrennt. So wird vermieden, dass die reaktionsträgeren schwerflüchtigen Inhaltsstoffe des Treibstoffs bei tiefen Abgastemperaturen in den Abgasstrang gelangen und zu einer Emission von unverbranntem Treibstoff führen. Die Figur zeigt die Anwendung des erfindungsgemässen Verfahrens am Beispiel der Regeneration eines Russpartikeifilters.
