Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1962556A2] The method involves receiving an input signal of a binaural hearing apparatus, and processing of the input signal into an output signal that leads to spatial perception. A variable of the output signal of the hearing apparatus is controlled, based upon the input signal, such that spatial perception is altered. The input signal is analyzed by separating sound sources and determining a fading of the input signal, where the separation is effected via a directional microphone or a blind source separation algorithm. An independent claim is also included for a hearing apparatus for binaural supply of a human hearing.
