Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007071296A1] The invention relates to a floor nozzle (10) for vacuum cleaners, comprising a housing (11) on which a connection piece (13) is held in an articulated manner, and comprising a base plate (17) which is fixed to the housing and which has a suction opening (18) which forms a flow connection with the connection piece via an air-guide channel, with at least one suction channel which is open at the floor end issuing into the suction opening and a thread-lifting means (44, 45) in each case being arranged upstream and downstream of the suction opening in the main movement direction of the floor nozzle. In order to develop the floor nozzle in such a way that it permits improved cleaning of edge regions of a floor area, the invention proposes that the base plate has a first suction channel (21) and a second suction channel (22) which each issue into the suction opening, with the first suction channel extending virtually over the entire width of the base plate, and with the second suction channel comprising a front channel section (50) which is arranged upstream of the front thread-lifting means (44) in the main movement direction of the floor nozzle.
